January 2007

So I'll try to backtrack to January so at least I can say I covered all of 2007 :-)

Alec is now 5 months and William 25 months.

So lets start with Alec:

• He's trying to sit, still a little wobbly but he's almost there;
• He's still not taking solids, just breastmilk, his stomach is really acting up and he doesn't tolerate any foods (a little cereal but that's pushing it) so we'll wait until he's 6 months old;
• He's growing like a weed! He's wearing 12-18 months clothes, and they are not big on him :-) He's going to be very tall!
• His favorite toy is the jumper, he just loves to jump, jump, jump in it;
• Still no teeth for Alec but then again, William didn't get any until he was 8.5 months;
• Alec's been sick pretty much since the new year, he goes from a cold to bronchiolitis back to normal for a few days and it starts all over again, he even had a double ear infection to top it all off, he keeps on smiling though...
  
• Stats from the Dr.: 19lbs 4 ounces, 29 inches.. He's over the charts.
  

and William:

• He's a little talking machine, he talks, talks, talks and we love it! (Although some days, I'd be happier if he couldn't talk ;-) )
• He got a haircut and didn't like it, he screamed and moved so much the hairdresser cut herself with the scissors, next time I'm sending daddy to take care of the haircut, it was challenging with Alec in my arms!
• He's still going to school two times a week and really enjoy it, he has friends named Dominic, Ashley, Christopher and Andy. He's bringing plenty of germs back home, mommy and Alec seem to catch everything he brings home;
  
• He's getting quite skinny, only 29lbs and he's about 37 inches, we don't go to the doctor very often now so its hard to say, he wears 3T clothes.
  

Evelyn, our nanny had her baby this month, Lucca is adorable!!! He's a beautiful little boy. We really miss her, she had been with us since William was just 5 months..

Our new Au Pair started on January 11th, her name is Ana Maria and she's wonderful! She's from Brazil so she's not loving the cold weather; lucky for her, we are having a mild winter so there wasn't much snow in January. William is being a bit difficult with the change in care, he missed Evelyn and he's not used to Ana yet. Alec is taking it all in strides, he's probably not very aware of what's going on yet.
