Our routine visits to the pediatrician

So today was William's 3 year old visit and Alec's 15 month old visit at our pediatrician Dr. J's office. Boys both did great, 3 shots for Will and 2 shots for Alec. William also got a blood draw for lead testing, poor guy, he squirmed a little when they put in the needle and she missed the vein, she proceeded to wiggle it for a while to find it, needless to say, Will was not happy about that but he took it pretty well considering.

They are both very healthy and doing very well, Alec is over the charts for height at 34.5 inches, and 75% for weight at 28.5lbs. William is 40 inches and 34lbs, about 90% for height and 70% for weight. Still tall guys :-) No wonder those PJs don't fit anymore!

Alec keeps signing, he says more, juice, all done and points to some body parts when you ask him to. He also says a few words like mama, more, dog and dada. He's walking more on his own now but still pretty tentative, seems to take those gross motor skills slowly. He has fantastic fine motor skills, he's already trying to use a fork and manipulate the smallest objects so easily.

William is growing up so fast, he will hold a full conversation with you and it is all so clear, he can tell you stories and has a great memory for events, facts and songs too!

He's excited about his birthday party on Saturday, he keeps telling us that his two best friends, Colton and Brian are coming for his birthday, and he's so happy about that!
More on that Saturday!
