A haircut for Alec

One week short of 17 months (almost 1.5 years old!) Alec got his first haircut! He was a real trooper sitting in his airplane, he wasn't too sure about the clipper but he didn't mind the scissors. So glad I finally got it done, he was starting to grow a mullet! (ICK!) He looks like such a little boy now, running around with his fresh haircut, its great and kinda sad, no more baby!

He can really tell us what he wants. He has words like mama (which he usually only uses when he's complaining about something..), dog (accompanied by the sign for dog), juice, ball, and many others.. Just the other day I was cooking, he came over, grabbed my legs and turned me around and said and signed juice with both hands :-) I really couldn't miss that one, lol!

He's still a mommy's boy, he always wants mommy to carry him around, which is getting really hard due to his size! He now weighs 31 lbs (William 35lbs) and measures 34 inches (William is 40 inches).

Its hard to believe he started really walking full time a few weeks back, he's now a pro, never crawls anymore and pretty much runs around. He's also very solid on his feet and very good at catching himself is Oakley or William decide to push him around a bit. He's also moved on to one nap which is good most of the time, but he's not fully adjusted yet so its hard to figure out when to put him down for the nap and he doesn't seem to be very well rested when it doesn't last a good 2 hours. He's been going to bed early :-)
